ANDEAN JOURNEY - MEETING THE APUS AND THE ANCIENTS

Day 1

July 15th â€¦Depart from home, arrival to Lima, reception and transfer to the hotel located in Miraflores downtown. Overnight.
Day 2
July 16th …Free morning, 1:00pm depart by car to Nazca (8 hours). We will stop over to see Ica, and have  lunch and visit the Huachina place which is an oasis with the biggest sand dunes in the planet.  Afterwards, we’ll visit the archeological museum.  We will continue our trip by car to Nazca, stop at the overlook of the lines to see a couple of figures made in the desert. Overnight in town.
Day 3
July 17th …8:30am we will fly over the Nazca lines in Sesna planes, resting time ... Evning…a tour of the city, we will see the aqueducts and the cemetery of Chauchilla, the gold makers and finally the Planetarium of Marie Reiche amazing experience about the ancient Peruvian astronomy and  traditions. Overnight in town.
Day 4
July 18th â€¦Early car ride to Paracas (3 1/2 hours). We will drive over Ica desert with huge valleys as oasis, then boat excursion to Ballestas islands the small Galapagos (wild life sightseeing), then we will go to the national reserve of Paracas, the moon kind land with amazing beaches in different colors.  We will enjoy Peruvian seafood. In the afternoon we will return to Lima by car. 5 hours trip. Overnight in Lima.
Day 5
July 18th …Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, a reception and transfer to Pisac market and the local ssacred site. We will stop over at Awanakancha to see the camels and the Andean weavers, showing their ancient ways of weaving and their products are for sale in the shop which will benefit the community they come from. Fire ceremony (APU NINA) …  Overnight in Pisac.
Day 6 
July 19th â€¦To SR de Wanqa site, temple perched in the holly mountain Pachatusun, we will come to meet the APU/Mountain and actual Sanctuary of the people in Cusco.  Evening…To Ollantaytambo, water cleansing ceremony at the Temple of the Winds, working with the 4 elements. Overnight in town.
Day 7
July 20th …To Wakaywillke/Apu Verconica, snow cap mountain 19,500 feet. We will drive by car to the pass named Alfamayo, 14,000 feet, where we will pilgrimate to the side of the mountain and meditate with the energy of the APU. Despacho ceremony.  We come back to Ollantaytambo for overnight . Fire at night.
Day 8
July 21st â€¦10:30am Train ride to Machupicchu, we will do a quick check-in and lunch. Then in the afternoon, we will be driven to the site for a shamanic site tour and Hunan chasqa or welcome ceremony. We will have dinner and overnight at Aguas calientes. 
Day 9
July 22nd …Back to Machupicchu - optional program choices: Photography, meditation, personal work or hiking.    Here are the choices …
6:00am …* Temple of the Moon or *Waynapicchu mountain hikes, 2 ½ hours for each of them.  We can mixed up both Waynapicchu & Temple of the Moon - 4 hours of hard hiking.
NOW - They give tickets in the entrance gate of the site, you have to collect them by 6:00am in the morning  (only 400 people are allowed in the site per day).
*Machupicchu Mountain, 5 hours hike (hard & demanding), but an amazing climb done as a pilgrimage. Leave between 7:00am to 9:00am latest time because weather can change in the afternoon.
*Inka trail and Inka bridge are quite easy walks, 2 hours round trip.  This hike can be done at anytime of the day, no ticket is require.
*Stay on the site. Exploring is highly recommended.
Dinner in town. We will overnight at Aguas calientes.
Day 10
July 23rd â€¦We will return to Ollantaytambo by train, then by car back to Cusco.  Check-in at our hotel then tour the city; including the famous Temple of the Sun, Koricancha, walk along the Inka streets, tour the San Blas and shaman market.  Overnight in Cusco.
Day 11
July 24th …In the morning, we will see the national park of Sacsaywaman and other Inka waqas or holy places.  In the afternoon, free time to enjoy and explore the city on your own and prepare for next day… Overnight in Cusco.
Day 12
July 25th â€¦We will drive to Pachatusun mountain to a small house hacienda, from there wewill start an amazing hike or horse ride to the APU of Cusco benefactor of the city.  The journey will be accompanied by the keepers of the place, they will offer a ceremony of connection with the spirits of the mountain, Apu Pachatusun and Apu Manuel Pinta.  Camp 1.
Day 13
July 26th …Morning sacred ceremony with a climb or horse ride to the top of the mountain, then we will return to headtrail and by car back to Cusco, free day to rest or explore… A farewell dinner and overnight in the city.
Day 14
July 27th …Am - Free time to enjoy the city, do the last minute shopping … Pm. Fly back to Lima where you will connect a fly back  to USA at night time.
