SOSLTICE FESTIVITY JOURNEY
THE FEAST OF THE SUN ( 10 days / 9 nights )

Day 1

june 16th Saturday... Depart from USA , arriving to Lima early on the morning of june 16th connecting a fly to Cusco in the morning. Reception and transfer to Pisac , on the way we will see Awanacancha the place of the camels (vicuna,huanaco,alpaca and llamas) and the ancient weavers of the Andes. Many representative people from the communities of the region come to show their ancient techniques of weaving .
Check-in our hotel . Afternoon car ride to the Basilica de Wanqa ,a holly place for the Inka people turned into a pilgrimage place for the Andean people We will do a blessing and welcome ceremony. Overnight in Pisac hotel.

Day 2
june 17th Sunday... Big market day, we will drive to Pisac site, temple of the eagle early in the morning (7.30am) for a beautiful ceremony encountering the elders of the Inka people we will ask permission and ask for vision, later optional hike to the market , assist the mess in Qechua language and explore the market. , shopping time In the afternoon , we will drive from Pisac to Ollantaytambo the famous Sacred valley...we will visit the amazing ancient Inka village and we will overnight there.

Day 3
june 18th Monday... Drive by car to Veronica Wakaywillca snow cap mountain there is a small national reserve for the Andean Cynclodes bird, we will do KARPAY AND DESPACHO ceremony and of course we will be amazed by the views of APU Wakaywillca-Veronica . Beautiful ceremony and exploration.
We will return to Ollantaytambo and visit the Temple of the winds ,ceremony and meditation with the 4 elements of nature.
Overnight in town.

Day 4
june 19th Tuesday... 10.30am Wonderful train ride to Machupicchu village , hotel check-in and quick lunch. 1.30 Pm depart to the site ; shamanic version excursion visiting the power places . Hunan Chasqa ceremony (Andean baptism). Sun set and return to the hotel. Overnight at Aguas calientes.

Day 5
june 20th wednesday . Return to the site , optional time ...Different choices ... Photography ,meditation ,personal work or hiking.
Here the choices ...
6.30am ...* temple of the moon or *Waynapicchu mountain hikes , 2 ½ hours each of them. ,a mixed up Waynapicchu/Temple of the moon 4 hours, of hard hike. NOW They give tickets in the entrance gate of the site., you have to collect it early in the morning (only 400 people allow).
*Machupicchu Mountain , 5 hours hike(hard &demanding) but amazing climb done as a pilgrimage. Leave at 7.00am to 9.00am latest time because weather can change in the afternoon. *Inka trail and Inka bridge are quite easy walks , 2.00 hours round trip . Any time , no ticket require.
*Stay on the site. Exploring .
Dinner in town. We overnight at Aguas calientes.

Day 6
june 21st Thursday , We will weak up early in the morning for the solstice ceremony , after optional free time.
Other offers... Hike to Putukusi mountain ( 4 hours ) ,or Mandor waterfall walk on the train tracks or optional sound ceremony (extra cost) , Hotsprings walk and bath.
Overnight at Aguas calientes. Dinner in town.

Day 7
june 22nd Friday ,Return to Ollantaytambo by train , then we will continue to Cusco. Check-in our hotel . Free time to explore the city ,overnight in Cusco. There will be parades and other activities for Cusco's festivities.

Day 8
june 23th Aniversary of Cusco big parade which last from around mid-day to next day around 3.00am in the morning , no easy to move , many people.
We will visit Cusco's altars such as Sacsaywaman, Lanlacuyoc ,Chacan ,the Koricancha or temple of the sun ,markets and San Blas. Overnigh in the city. Fire works and feast in town.

Day 9
june 24th We will assist to Inti Raymi (the feast of the Sun) we will follow the ceremony from the beginning until Sacsaywaman where it concludes , Picnic lunch and entrance fee on the tribunes built to see it. Overnight in Cusco. Farewell dinner.

Day 10
june 25th Free morning , then you will fly back to Lima .
Connecting to USA.

Tips for the trip...
*Highly recommended to travel by AA 2111 because it leaves Miami at 11.30pm, arrives in Lima 4.30am , so you can connect to Cusco at 7.00am , arriving at 8.30am to continue with program.
